This image of our sun represents the spectacular solar corona (seen as black dust), that reaches thousands of miles-into space. One could also view it during a Total Solar Eclipse, when it appears as a ghostly band of light. It clearly indicates that this cosmic giant is a place of climatic turmoil with temperatures ranging between- 15 million degree Celsius to 5000 degree Celsius.
